KHAL(a small river cut from the main river)

The khal is small part of a river cut through he fields which serves as a water source for the fields..
the khal shown here is 2-3 kilometres long.
KHAL is a very pleasant place in any time of the day...as the wind blows continously at a brisk speed... a walk besides the Khal in the morning and evening can rejuvenate you within minutes.
I sat there many times chatting with my frends there and the feeling of the sweet wind with a hint of moisture on your body is unforgettable..

this is the cut provided between the khal and the river from where the entry and exit of water during BHATA(when water level in river decreases) and JWAR(when water level in river increases) can be controlled.

this is the river side from where the river is cut for the opening of the khal..the water level in the picture shown is rising so this is the time of JWAR

this is the khal side and you can see the opening from which the water is slowly coming in the khal from the river.

when the wind was blowing very fast....

the calmness of the khal......
